ya know - I've seen wheel cylinders with metal cups that back up the 
rubber, and the expansion springs push against those steel support cups.
I wonder if some wheel cylinders get put together without those?

Seems to me, with the steel support, the rubber cup is less dependent on 
the residual pressure to seal against the bore.

Has anyone noticed this, one way or the other?
