Went to a car show Aug 17.  Over three hundred cars there.  Won a trophy about 30 inches tall and very ornate.  This is not about winning a trophy but about winning a second against a scad of 58 to 64 Chevies, which is the class I entered.  I looked at the fabulous 58 Impalas and the 59-60 postage stamp roof 409  hardtops.  I saw all the Novas and Chevv 2s that were so beautifully restored.  There was one 63 box Nova that was a ringer for the Spyder.  Same color and same interior.  Chrome V8 in front.  Awesome car.  After all these years of going to shows and listening to the Nader comments and the fan belt and oil leak stories, it is hard for me to deal with Corvairs finally finding a place in the world.
