<VV> 2014 Convention in Tacoma, Wa. is not too far

I am proposing to be at Tacoma. Followed by about 5 weeks going down the west coast through Monterey to depart through Los Angeles late August.
If anyone is thinking its "too far" to go, consider my travel. Each way is about 9,250 miles in 3 separate planes for total flying time of over 20 hours. For the longest leg, I leave Melbourne at 9:15am on 17th and I arrive in LA at 6:35am on 17th. This means that I arrive in LA before I departed Melbourne. :)
But on the other hand, on the way back, I never get to see any part of the 23rd August.
So "Tacoma is too far to go" is not a legitimate excuse for anyone in mainland US.
