Charlie,  I should just go to bed and/or have less Shiraz.

Whether the mount has failed or not - the bolts that hold it on are still in 
the same place.  So, does your car have a lowered front end or HD springs in 
the rear end?  Are the cars that you are comparing set up the same way in 
the suspension?

Matt is right.  Take a picture or two and send it.
