<VV> Spark plug gap

If and when you open up the spark gap on plugs, be CERTAIN to  end up with 
the grouind electrode EXACTLY perpendicular to the center electrode.  If you 
don't, you will have the spark jumping to the edge of the center  electrode 
and quickly eroding that edge and further increasing the gap....as in  too 
much.

Apparently a bigger longer spark is desirable as the instructions  for a
Pertronix Igniter says to open the gaps up with their "more  powerful"
ignition.  Don't do it with a stock ignition as it doesn't  have the power

jump the gap.
