Matt, I pulled it off and it pegged the needle. So my sender is bad? -- IV

  That is where your problem is!!   But it may only be the float!   If the sender was totally bad   it wouldn't be reading "0"  ohms [ empty].




Drain the tank and take it out.....  jack up  and remove right front wheel...   rotate locking ring  CCW [ to the left]  after draining tank.
