<VV> Starter with bad spot on armature?

The brushes were very worn. The screws for the brushes just missed hitting the armature. I put it together with better brushes and it works with no issues, Time to put it back in the buggy.

First, check the brushes. This is usually a case of worn brushes. Easy 
to change. And grease the bearings (bushings) while in there.

This comment assumes the solenoid is pulling in every attempt to start 
but the armature does not turn.
