<VV> Bell housings

A couple of folks told Charlie about the Bellhousing, but that is water  
under the bridge. It is worth noting that if the bellhousing had been part  of 
the differential, many extra lbs of cast iron would have been added to the  
uni-pack. Not good. Also, placing the starter on the other  (differential) 
side of the flywheel means the Corvair starter would rotate  the same 
direction as on the other Chevy engines, adding commonality of parts.  On almost 
every other engine of the era, the starter was on the engine side of  the 
flywheel. - Seth

After Smitty's comments yesterday (and he's right, no one  commented about a
bellhousing change for Charlie), I wondered as to why  Chevrolet put the
bellhousing on the engine instead of the transaxle like  regular cars.
