About 20 years ago, I made my first quick visit to Corvair Ranch.  Jeff 
showed me around a little and let me browse in the field a bit.  He had a 69 
near the main building and I lifted the engine bay lid.  You could tell that 
about half the welds in the engine compartment were incomplete.  This one, 
at least was undoubtedly welded by a drunk chimp or a UAW worker that did 
NOT give a shit.  No robots back then.  Kind of sad really.
