only one that ever made a noticeable difference was Marvel Mystery Oil, 
added to the fuel tank at somewhere around 4 fluid ounces per 12 gallons 
of fuel. It does a miraculous job of removing varnish from injectors, 
and all sorts of goo from carburetors, usually after ten miles or less 
of driving. The local carburetor wizard used to insist that a car be 
driven on MMO for a few miles; he would then look at it if the problem 
persisted.
