<VV> '65 3-speed is non-synchro, but '66-'69 is synchro?

I thought the '65 3-speed was non-synchro, but '66-'69 is synchro?

Another "urban legend"?

Corvair 3sp transmissions should use GL-4 as they have bronze synchronizers
too.
