<VV> Correct Battery Size

22F is the correct standard battery.  I believe the optional battery was 24, 
not 24F.  It requires longer cables as the terminals end up on the outboard 
side of the battery.  Group 24 was used in other models, so Chevrolet 
probably had plenty of them on hand.  Keeping a supply of an odd-ball 
battery just for the occasional special order probably wouldn't have made 
sense, even to GM.
