Maybe brake shoe material? I've got a '66 that everything obvious seems excellent but it has really high pedal effort. Stock master cylinder. It's about double the effort that it should be. It has new shoes but I don't know what brand they are. Has anyone checked to see if the carbs are empty when it quits? Joel McGregor
