<VV> car stops running

What's stock pressure; 3-6#?
Even if you've cobbled in a pressure gauge, MAYBE you might catch reading a
few pounds if the carb needle's havn't blead it off.
With an electric pump, yes, pressure should still be there if the ignition
is still on.
My check would be to see if either accelerator pump would discharge,
indicating fuel in the bowl.
