Timothy, it was Brylcreem  that used the slogan:  "A little dab will do you, you look so debonair".  Strangely enough I  STILL use the stuff on MY hair.  Maybe that's why I still have some left.  
        Regarding plug threads, I use only enough of the anti-seize (not Brylcreem) to cover SOME (not ALL) of the threads.

I use a VERY LIGHT amount of anti seize on my plug threads. I also use it on anything that screws into aluminum. Like an old hair tonic commercial, "a dab will do you".
