Anyone who doesn't recognize the Corvair in the pictures, doesn't get the
joke.

Disney (Now owner of Pixar) has become famous or notorious, depending on
your perspective, for the inside jokes they place in their films.

Anyone old enough to recognize the Corvair influence is going to say, "Well
duh, the Minions are a bunch of losers.  Of course they would be driving a
Corvair."  Sorry if I've offended anyone, but personally, I think it's
pretty funny.

Like the man said, "you might as well learn to laugh at yourself, everyone
else is."
