Hi Bob,

I rec'd the info from Dave Ziegler that your "PACK RAT SALE" has been
CANCELLED FOR TODAY FOR SOME TIME IN JULY.

Bob, I am in need of A COMPLETE ENGINE & DRIVE TRAIN AS WELL AS DRUM TO
DRUM WITH A MANUAL TRANSAXLE. I HAVE A 1961 CORVAIR STATION WAGON ENGINE
WITH 2 CARBUREATORS THAT WERE ATTACHED TO AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I
understand the BELL-HOUSING for MANUAL & AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ARE DIFFERENT.

Can my BELL HOUSING BE CHANGED TO A MANUAL BELL HOUSING SO I CAN USE THE
FLYWHEEL CLUTCH AND PRESSURE BRAKE? This I hope will let me use my PRESENT
STARTER TO START THE ENGINE NORMALLY.

Bob, what I am doing is CONVERTING AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SETUP TO
MANUAL. This, I feel, would be my cheapest route. Dave said my engine is
83HP and that you have a low-mileage 1966 ENGINE 110HP that was a MANUAL
TRANSMISSION.

Bob, I am not all that familiar with Corvair engines but would it also be
just a 2 CARBUREATOR SETUP?

My above questions are for my project that I am mounting a CORVAIR ENGINE
in a MODIFIED 1947 INDIAN FRAME. The AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SETUP IS A
PROBLEM. THE MANUAL SETUP WOULD BE EASIER TO DESIGN THE CONNECTION TO TRANSFER
POWER FROM THE ENGINE TO THE HARLEY TRANSMISSION USING THE MANUAL CLUTCH AND
 PRESSURE PLATE.

Bob, how long has the 1966 ENGINE been sitting? Can it be started to hear
it run?
I appreciate your help and THANK YOU, Bob, in advance for replying. I had
this bike running in 1971 but the drive connection kept failing. I am
trying to get it back on the road again.

Paul
