<VV> It must be national concours time -

Ned,

I consider myself to be a stock"ish" guy. I like my Corvairs to at least
appear stock to the average Corvair person (or easily changeable back to
stockier than they are now) and yet I like to drive them as much as weather
permits. Example, the Monza convert has an AM/FM radio (came with AM) and a
Corsa dash and the Rampside sports a Spyder instrument panel (I like the
head temp).

I admire the guys for their time and effort who participate in the stock
classes for show. That is their Corvair fun - keeping the car as near
original as possible. My Corvair fun is just different from theirs.

My comment about eliminating stock classes was somewhat tongue in cheek, but
not my comment about taking a fresh look at the rules. I think that the
rules could use a once over in light of the newly surfaced Lambrecht car as
it seems to have come to be called. Easy for me to SAY - since I do not
feel qualified for such an undertaking.

Later, JR
