<VV> Members only!!

Ned,
I've been on VV since sometime in 1994 or 1995... have I maintained CORSA membership this entire time? No, there's been lapses here and there, sometimes a month, sometimes a year, and I've let it lapse just recently (partly due to the divorce, and trying to get other things in order and lined out with this new life before me... it's funny how much brighter a future can look once a lying, cheating wife is no longer in the picture)... I have seen a lot of changes on this list, too... when I joined there was "Group Ken" and so much silliness that is would honestly have me laughing out loud... I've seen people come and go, some move on to other things, and others to their "Heavenly Reward" (hopefully).... but "Members Only"?
Let them send me an email like that... I think it would earn a personal visit (and Ned, I'd be happy to make a road trip with you so we could have a face-to-face pow-wow with said "unknown" spokesperson)... if it were truly a spokesperson from CORSA, then I reckon my 20+ year stint on VV might be over.
I've helped many... given many parts away, and even designed a better piece for the 64-66 remote mirrors on some of the Corvairs, too... but also I've been on the receiving end of so much kindness and love from the members here that I seriously doubt the email is from anyone of consequence....
So which shall it be?
I'll be waiting for the same email...
Lonzo.... the mostly harmless little fuzzball in Kaintuck

In a very welcoming off list email I've been told that I shouldn't be using VV
because it's for CORSA members. And you wonder why CORSA is
dying?

Later!!

IMO that is not the answer. Just
because you don't feel strongly about Factory
Stock Original or Factory Stock
Restored does not mean that class should be
eliminated, it doesn't mean it's
not fun, and it isn't a myth.

I am not a
stock guy and do not understand
why they get all worked up about things like
proper over spray or the right
spatter in the trunk paint. But for some car guys
that is their definition of
"fun" and I would never deny them of that. Just as
they better not deny my
"fun" of improving a stock car to make it better and
then driving the wheels of
of it.

And since we all know "factory stock"
to be a myth (as well as an

unobtainable
goal), eliminate that classification
and enjoy your CORSA
life.

This hobby is
supposed to be fun. When the rules
get in the way of
the fun,
it's time to
re-examine the rules.

Later,
JR
