<VV> governor question

I have a governor question.  I have 2 pg transaxles.  One was removed from the car and was matched to a 3:55 diff.  The other one is an extra one that came with a 3:27 diff.  I am putting the pg that was formerly matched to the 3:27 diff, with the 3:55 diff.  Is the governor matched to the diff's gear ratio?  So, my question is this: when reassembling, which governor should I use and why?
