There are at least two states with Plano cities. I can not tell from the
original post if The Colony refers to a subdivision or town, around here,
since we are in the cradle of Colonial America, there are Colonies
everywhere!

And for those of you who do not know in what state The Colony is (or 
Plano, for that matter), it's Texas.  A Dallas-Fort Worth bedroom 
community.  I have a friend who lives there, which is the only reason 
why I know where The Colony is.
