I have a friend in need:
where is the vin numberon a '66 coupeall the vin tags are  gonebut they say 
there is a place under the unibody
where it is stamp in  the frame If possible  send photo so I know want I'm 
looking forThe car is 75 miles from me , so hard to help him in person.

Smitty Says  ;  no photo required Tim.  Where the front frame extends out 
over the axle and the spring tower rises up alongside it, the number is 
stamped in the side of the frame next to the spring tower.  It is down low 
and very hard to see much less read with the axle in place.  There has been 
considerable discussion on which side the number is on in Late models.  It 
is on the left in Earlies
