I just wanted to say thanx for all the input on the electric issue of the '64 ragtop w/21,000 miles (and the original generator) on it.  Turns out it WAS a bad ground.  Seems the p.o. had a strange way of hooking things up from the battery to the engine.  So, I dropped back 10 and punted.  Undid everything and re-did it all over again making sure, this time,  the battery, body, and engine were all connected.  No more flickering lights.
