I over filled a tf on my 65 monza Started smoking out the exhaust of course, but I poured a tf into the carbs when I first started it after 15 years (that was a while ago). So I assume the ATF didn't harm the engine. How is it sucked into the intake manifold?Does it the overflow ruin the diaphragm of the tranny?

You've got it all backwards...

1 The "Modulator" on your PG has a ruptured diaphragm... so it leaks ATF into the Vacuum line and that goes to the "Balance Tube" which then feeds the carbs!!

2 When you overfilled.... it just leaks More! Never fear, a little ATF is good for your engine.....except for the smoke!!!! gg
