I have at least two of these oil-pump driver  tools on the shelf. Just  pop 
off the gear and the point plate/advance stuff and you are ready to go!  
That is the best use for your old distributor, after you install a NEW one!

You  guys work way too hard.  What I did was strip down an old distributor  
except for the oil pump shaft rod and housing, slide it into the hole, bolt 
it  down, and then attach my drill to the end of the shaft, just like a 
drill  bit.  Then just pull the trigger and watch the oil flow!!
