I am doing some carb work on a 1965 a/c car (hard to start and keep running), but don't have much experience with such. I am replacing the carbs and looking for a gas leak somewhere under the front. The condenser is the 1966 style, up on the firewall, so I am wondering if there was a '65 mid-year change? Everything else indicates it is not an add-on.

The owner has trouble with it stalling at lights, and has to turn off the a/c as a result. I notice that there is no idle speed solenoid or lever on the cross shaft. I also can not find how it is adjusted in the shop manuals as there are only drawings of the solenoid. I assume it is adjusted by turning the activating rod in or out when activated??? The instructions only say to adjust the idle to 550. 

And finally, does anyone have an operating solenoid for sale? (I have a correct cross shaft somewhere...)
