<VV> 3-speed reminder

My '64 convertible has a 3-speed.  It's on the list to be replaced ASAP.  The '65 and earlier might as well be a 2-speed with the unsynchronized first gear.

Call me odd (most people do), but I've always preferred the 66 and on 3-speed for a daily commuter driver. I'm not sure why. Certainly the 4-speed is better for more spirited driving with its better ratios. Does anyone have a convertible with a 3-speed? It seems that everyone replaces a 3-speed as soon as they can. I'm just wondering how many cars still have their 3-speeds.
