I guessed I missed the announced regular rate increase this year and got sticker shock at the Post Office today. Rates have gone up about 5% across the board for just about everything except letters, which are no longer to first class. I know that probably doesn't seem like a lot to most, but those of us/you who ship hundreds of packages of Corvair parts a year will feel the bite, so plan accordingly. They have used rising oil prices and employee retirement plan costs for the past several ones, but no mention yet of the excuse for increasing prices while decreasing service again.
