I heartily second the motion of a Pertronix I.  I have used 'Ignitors' for a zillion years on all my Corvairs with excellent results and absolutely no trouble whatsoever.  I just hook it up stock.  The Pertronix reads a "magnetic disk" that is inserted ON the points cam.  I mean, why mess with points if you don't have to?
