   By the symptoms, your car has the original type flasher (button
shaped). It's blinking rate depends on the current passing thru it.
Change to the electronic type (longer and heavier) and you'll have the
same blinking rate all the time. It blinks the same thru various voltages
without depending on the current so, it will blink ok with 1 or up to
several bulbs.
   It's only con is that the OEM type is designed for 2 bulbs and, in the
event that one of them fails, the flasher will stop blinking, giving the
advice that one bulb failed.
