Do you have a link to that story?  In the 50s Glenn Pray Purchased the Cord company and in 1966 built continuation Cord 810s with a Corvair powerpack.

Some of you probably already know this,  but I was reading the yahoo news and saw where a person bought out the Cord company and all rights and plans contact a car manufacturer to build the original Cord 318 due to the fact only a small amount were made leaving permission to build the original Cord again.
