The 60 has a short stub output shaft with coarse splines. It is unique to that year.

Subject: [fastvair] Fully splined pinoin gear shaft

I have a pinion shaft that appears to be internally splined fully from end-to-end. Anyone seen one like this or ?

What is different about a 1960 pinion gear shaft and early shafts? I know early shafts have speedometer gear on them and the ones I have seen have no oil hole.

Thanks,
Chuck S
