Hi Folks! I've got a 62 Rampside that just got running after about 5 years. I am very excited about going to events with it. When I first brought it home from the mechanics it was running beautifully. It's got good compression and everything works except the speedometer (cable) and turn signals. I went out a week or so ago and put about 20 miles on it. I got lots of curious onlookers and thumbs up. However, since then I can't get it to idle and it is backfiring out of the carbs. Any ideas on what I should look for? Thanks! Howard Collins, Tacoma, Washington

We are very happy to announce we have secured a date to run the South Road Course at Pocono Raceway! The date is Sunday July 16, 2017.

In years past, we ran other road courses at Pocono, but we are excited to be on the South Course for the first time. The infield portion is all newly paved, 40 feet wide, and will challenge us with esses, sweepers, and compound turns until it spits us onto the end of the main straight. Then you're looking at Pocono's famous NASCAR turn #1, with it's 14 degree banking, about as much as the other 2 turns in the Tri Oval combined. Attached is a jpeg showing the track layout.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN AT WWW.NECCMOTORSPORTS.COM

We are offering our full High Performance Driving option consisting of open track sessions from all day with timed laps mid afternoon. Price: a mere $250 per driver. In addition, we are also offering two fifteen-minute "Taste of the Track" lapping sessions for $75 per driver.

We are also doing the same kind of event at New York Safety Track this year on June 23. Same low prices. Sign up for both!

Is there a stock hitch for a 1961 Lakewood? I see the option in the dealer
booklet, yet I can't find an instruction sheet in the Accessories
Installation Reference Manual for 1961 or 1962 for car or wagon or van.

If a stock one exists, is there an instruction sheet anywhere so, not only
will I know how it is installed, but I will know what to look for in a
stock hitch.

The lock is out of my 1966 Corvair.
The key still will not budge.? (even after soaking overnight in PB Blaster)

If anybody has a functioning lock with a key...I would be interested in buying one.
Please contact me off list.
Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
Take it to a competent old school locksmith. They have ways to take it
apart and get the problem fixed.
You will then be able to keep the same key.

G'day everyone,
I am about to re-install all the vacum hoses on my rebuilt engine for our 65' Corvair (110 hp, automatic with factory air).

I have scanned the 1965 Corvair Assembly Manual, Workshop Manual and also searched the internet for some photos that might show me the correct factory installation for these hoses, but I have not found anything!

Can anyone, tell me if such information exists? Because some photos showing the correct way to install these hoses might saved me a lot of guessing and time.
Regards from down under
