Tim: Thanks for the pictures. I cannot make out the lettering on the cam
covers, but offer these observations:
	1. Angle between valves appears to be very narrow, which is uncommon
in what I think I remember about most DOHC inline 4-cyl engines
	2. From the port openings, this could be a engine with 2 intake
valves and 1 exhaust valve.
	3. External belt drive to the cams indicates a late 70's or newer
engine
	4. What appears to be a A/C mount reminds me of the A/C mount on the
2.2L engine in the Dodge Shelby Charger I once used and abused. As does the
starter mount. But the belt cam drive was on the same end of that
engine as the A/C drive in that car.
	5. The motor mount on one side of it looks like one for a sideways
engine -ie: FWD. As do the 3 bolt holes in one end of the engine. My DSC
2.2L had a similar attachment point.

Whatever is cast on the cam covers would be of interest, as would any part
numbers etc on the block.

Was the departed club member ever interested in Dodge/Chrysler performance
cars from the mid-80's? Because, IIRC correctly, Chrysler had a 2.2L (which
was a SOHC engine) Maserati developed 2L DOHC engine in a Maserati developed
chassis in the mid-80's. The "Chrysler Maserati TC"??? Think they were
convertibles. If this happens to be one of those engines, last I knew, the
Shelby Dodge community lusted for them.

So don't throw it away until you know it is worthless. Please.

Historically Yours,
		James
