Any car can kill you if you don't maintain or drive it properly.  But that's not entirely correct.  The car, which is just a piece of machinery, does not do the killing.

I agree with Bob Helt 1000%, not only for the title wording but the fact that many of us have our cars insured by them. If we damaged our cars trying to prove or dis-prove this theory would they pay the claim? I think not, Ed
