Hi Jim,

Having hub centric wheels is helpful when installing them on the car.  Once the lug nuts are tightened down, the clamping force is all that really holds the wheel in place.  If you have 1/8" run out with the lug nuts in place that's way too much, it sounds like you have the wrong fasteners.

Regarding 5 on 120 vs. 5 on 4 3/4 (120.65), in my experience it's of no consequence.  I would *prefer* to machine the bolt circle to make up for the 0.65mm difference, but practically it hasn't mattered.  I *am* careful when installing to snug the bolts, tighten partway, then finally torque the wheels.
