<VV> Anyone know what liquid or oil is in the Late Corvair convertible vibration dampeners?

When I was restoring my Corsa, I bought the Assembly Manual reprint from
Clarks (C7315). It was very helpful for my project.

One item I found in there (I dug it out just now to refresh my memory) was
the body dampeners. It depicted the materials diamond symbol pointing to the
plug with the reference (7b). Looking that up elsewhere in the manual (Why
do manuals always split information across chapters?) reveals that it's
"Fluid-Auto Trans" and that it's specified for both "Automatic Transmission"
and "Body Dampener Asm's".

The drawing also indicates sealing compound on the plug and it's torqued to
100-125 Lb In.

Subject: <VV> Anyone know what liquid or oil is in the Late Corvair
convertible vibration dampeners?

I recently purchased from a private party a set of Late Corvair convertible
vibration dampeners, but two of them are leaking the oil from them. I think
I need to drain them, seal the leaks and then
refill. I am not sure what liquid or oil should be used to replenish
any loss. Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Larry Forman
