<VV> Left head removal early

On an early car ( lakewood) , I have removed the left head by just loosening the left only forward mount and rear mount most of the way . It WILL be enough clearance with Carb studs removed.FC can be done by removing the rear mount bolt , letting the motor down until axles limit. I made a threaded rod to replace the rear bolt for this job. By the time you get done , It is not that  much savings over doing it correctly....Regards, Tim Colson
