When I was in the AIR FORCE  as a crew chief, I was taught to trouble shoot. For instance if the warning light(s) did not illuminate, the first thing to check was the bulb, I didn't need a specialist to trace the problem.
I did check the bulbs (all good) and the flasher (blue one under the dash). It only worked on the right not the left?? I replaced that one with another blue one....same only the right side  I replaced that blue flasher with a heaver duty one. Now nice bright rapid flashers all around... Thanks to all who helped.  The blue originals are junk after all these years. MIKE

right directional works, very slow blinking.left direction bulbs and indicator light up, but will not flash
emergency flasher works, proof bulbs and wireing to them is OK.
all bulbs good
replaced the flasher, that is not the problemdisconnected the wire harness from steering column. No corrosion at all.key buzzer and horn work.parking lights work
Should I suspect the contact inside the steering column? I dont like taking that apart till all other options are exhausted.
