<VV> Heater fan motor replacement?

Ignacio,
The blower motor can be removed with the powerpack still in the car, although you have to be flat on your back looking up at it.
As others have mentioned, there are 5 screws, which if I recall (it's been a while) are 1/4" hex-heads.  If not, then they are 5/16".  Have both sockets with you when you crawl under!!
Of course, there is the wire, which must be gently pulled off of the lug its attached to.
Then, once all the screws are out and the wire is disconnected, youll have to gently maneuver the motor around to get the fan to come out thru the hole (its almost as big as the hole, so it takes a moment).
Then, depending upon early/late/FC vehicle, you will have to twist the whole blower assembly around to get past the axle shaft.  There is a Flat Spot on the plate that the screws went thru, so you twist it around til you get enough clearance to get past that axle.  Done.
To install, reverse.   One of those five screws is really hard to see/access.  You may have to use light/mirror or the touch method to find it.  If someone already replaced the motor at some point, it might have been left off, since it is a nuisance.
4 will hold things in place quite well.
Hope this helps!
OH!  Helpful hint... while you have this out and are moving the squirrel cage to the new motor, take a moment to ensure that the center hub is "Staked" to the outer cage.  If you dont do this, youll be removing the motor again at some point when the hub comes loose from the cage and starts making gawd-awful noises back there.   A couple of large sockets that fit the rim of the hub and a 3 lb hammer will do it.  Dont go nuts, but do whack it a couple of times to ensure the pinch fit stays pinched.
