I have an old distributor machine here. I keep a junk distrib on it to play with. I install the pertronics then run it with a coil and test spark plug. I have a cap with a hole ground in the side so I can run a hair dryer to warm up the module. This has made the suspected units act up. A Corvair friend shipped me several suspected bad units a few years ago to play with...that was when I came up with the idea.
