Hi all,

Well it is time to sell my "someday I'll restore it" project van. This
is a 1963 Corvan that my wife and I bought when we were first married.
We drove it across the country, from Los Angeles,CA to Pittsburgh, PA
for her grad school and then back to San Jose, CA once she had her PhD.
What fun we had driving all over the east cost. Lots of trips around
western PA and even to DC. People were astonished that we would drive an
antique as a daily driver, and that was in the 1990's! We replaced the
engine with one from a 1965 110 coupe and the transmission and diff
right after we bought it. The Corvair Doctor took us into his home and
got us back on the road in no time. Fixed the heads in a friends
driveway with my new bride helping. Not much fun on cobble stones.

Our family has grown since then, and none of the kids are interested in
it, so it is time to go. My hope is to give it to someone that can
either restore it or use it to restore their van. I wanted to ask
$500.00 for it, the price we paid back in 1990, but I would rather it go
to someone that can use it. So convince me that it will be put to good
use and it is yours.

It has good Greenbrier side doors that I bought and installed on the
east coast at a convention. A previous owner cut the side panels and
installed non OEM windows. It has a good Saninyaw (sp?) 4 speed
transmission in it that I really should pull and put in my 66 corsa. The
syncros are broken on the corsa between 1st and 2nd. Unfortunately, the
engine in the van is frozen via a main barring that spun and the diff
has lost some teeth, so it can only roll and stop right now. Most of all
I do not want this van crushed, so for the price of towing it away it is
yours.

The van is located in San Jose,CA near Campbell.
