<VV> POSSIBLE DIFFERENTIAL LEAK

POSSIBLE/ probable  problem , causing differential to take on powerglide fluid is a seal buried at the gear end of the pinion. If it is original , it is going to bite you soon. The PG fluid can get in there high enough to swamp the axle seals or even  come out the top vent  of the differential cover.   Yes , the differential has to come all the way apart to change it. I made a tool to do the job without removing the bearing race  or the "shaft" that goes into the converter.
