It depends on whether or not the '66 is set up for an automatic.  The swap is easy if you have the part.
You may need to make some minor mods to the shrouding.  The '66 used larger diameter screws so you may need to drill out the holes in the sheet metal.  No biggie.

Can a lm motor mate to a em trans specifically a 66 motor into a 62 with powerglide.
