One quick test when the car quits , just crack the gas cap and see if it sucks in air..possible wrong gas cap? non vented?    
    IF there is a pertronics , try using stock points to check. I have found a few that quit when warmed up.Echlin test spark plug is @  80 thousanths I made some extras by putting an alligator clip on a plug and removing the outer electrode. It throws a very good spark under normal? conditions.
