Jerry, you have to change the trans cross member and the input shaft
(longer). Also the accelerator bracket is different and attaches to the
trans.

Amazing workmanship!
I'm puzzled by the transaxle however. Not sure what it's from - Porsche?
But I didn't think any like this could take the axle side-loads as the upper
link for the suspension?

Transmission or transaxle?
The '66 tranny mounts with six bolts; the '65, four bolts.
Not sure of the shafts; been awhile.

Yes on the Porsche transaxle. 930.
Interesting that he said nobody makes a kit for disc brakes on Corvairs
so he had to make his own. He's not well connected into the community.

The side bearings are larger than what's in a Corvair transaxle. And being a
spiral bevel final drive, the gear loads are lower than in a hypoid drive.?

The input shaft is different, and the front bracket has an offset for the
longer transmission.?
