<VV> Clutch rod 64 Spyder 4 speed.

I have rebuilt my motor and transmission and am in the process of putting
them back in the car.

During the restoration I painted the 540mm (1 foot 9 inch) rod that connects
to the end of the clutch fork and has an adjusting block on the other end.

The rod has a slight bend an inch or 2 from the hole that connects to the
clutch fork so that the rod projects slightly up or down depending which way
the rod is installed. 

The manuals say "paint mark must be on top of rod when assembled". But I
unknowingly painted over the mark . 

I suspect the travel of the rod would be up as it goes away from the clutch
fork. I wonder if somebody could confirm.

I'll add a paint mark when I do assembly. Thanks.
