<VV> REMINDER: Corvair Swap Meet, March 14, Fredericksburg, VA

This is a reminder about the Corvair Swap Meet this Saturday, March 14. It is being held by the Central Virginia Corvair Club at the Classic Car Center in Fredericksburg, VA from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm. The weather is predicted to be cool but dry, with temperatures starting in the 40’s and going into the 50’s by mid-day.

Numerous vendors have indicated they plan to come and we have plenty of room in the parking lot for more, as well as parking for shoppers. Among the vendors will be David Clemens of Stinger Motorsports with performance parts and Russell Davis of Blue Chip Tools bringing his special Corvair tools. We have word from other vendors they will be bringing NOS parts, collectibles (models & toys), body parts, as well as a variety of used parts. Feel free to bring Corvairs for sale too. People have asked if any will be there for sale. There are no vendor fees.

In addition, we’ll have an information table for the 2020 Virginia Vair Fair, to be held in Roanoke, VA on May 29 & 30. Registration forms will be available if you want to submit one while you are there.

You are welcome to come just to socialize with your Corvair buddies. The Classic Car Center has a nice area set up as a 1950’s restaurant and you can also tour their facility while there. If you have any questions, reply on this forum or email Wade Lanning at wblanning at comcast.net.

Directions to the swap meet are as follows:

1. From I-95, take Exit 130A, Rt.3 East towards Fredericksburg, VA.
2. Turn right (South) on Rt. 17 & 2.
3. At the 3rd stoplight, turn right onto Lee Hill Drive (Rt. 756).
4. The Classic Car Center is at the end of the road at the top of the hill.
