<VV> Dome light

Convertibles don’t have dome lights; they have a pair of under-dash “courtesy” lights instead.

Can anybody tell me where the dome light lives on a '64 convertible? I found a couple of black & white wires heading in the direction of the door switch, but when I grounded one of them in the hope that it might shed some light on the subject, all I succeeded doing was blowing the fuse. Who decided to put the fuse box in such a stupid place? They could have put it in the trunk on the other side of the panel it is screwed to, then you wouldn't have to be a contortionist to change a fuse.
