Hi, Guys,

My '65 corsafied Monza convertible has decided to quit on me.  It
appears that the fuel pump has aged out.  Since at 77 years old I expect
to need the car to last, I've decided to go electric on the fuel pump.
Also, the car has been sitting since before COVID, and there are a
couple of wet, gummy, stinky spots on the bottom of the gas tank, so I
probably need to replace it.  Since the fuel gauge sender has been a
random number generator since I built the car. And, the filler hose
leaks if you fill the tank over 12 gal. or so. So, even my famously hard
head has admitted that the whole fuel system needs replacement.

Finally, we get to the reason for this post.

While I'm quite capable of installing an electric pump, nothing below my
neck is strong enough these days to swap the tank.  If this was easy, I
would have dropped the tank to fix the filler hose back in 1978 when I
rebuild this car from a $200 rust bucket - no floors, busted auto trans,
engine used as practice model at local high school - reassembled w/o
gaskets, etc.).

So, I need somebody in the Austin Texas area that can/will do the
physical work on the tank.  Right now, it's in a one car garage, up on
jack stands so I could be sure the rubber hoses in the tank-to-pump fuel
line weren't leaking air.  I do not expect this to be free, just cheaper
than the local Chevy dealer 😉.

Thanks,
